Så tar dagen slut, vi går och lägger oss och längtar hem efter ett fantastiskt Kings Camp 2015
Rönnskär is a small island 330 km norht of Stockholm (http://bit.ly/1URlY3z). We have had our summer house here since 1999. It is a perfect place in Sweden, great summers, and also great winters where the slopes are quite close as well as cross country skiing. In my opinion, the best months are august and september. Then the sea has got a good temperature, also it is a good season fog going out in the woods harvesting blueberries and lingonberries/cowberries. Mushrooms are also popping up from the ground. We have the swedish ”Allemansrätt” (Freedom to roam - http://bit.ly/1fnLQUH) which means that everybody are allowed to go out in the forests and harvest wha nature gives. That might be one of the best things living in a big country with only 9 million people. As many places in Sweden, people are leaving the countryside, heading for cities. A good thing with Rönnskär is that there still are approx 40% of the houses where people are living around the year, even if the average age is getting a bit high. When it comes to photography, there is something with the light that I can not explain. It is just great. If you don’t want to capture open seas, there are plenty of forests with quite easily captured wild animals to catch (see my Fox album for example)Welcome to Sweden and Rönnskär!
This is a 3 minute exposure facing north. See the aurora to the right! Quite early to see that in august.
